Contractors Chosen for Hanford Construction

BOISE, ID-Washington Group International Inc. and Fluor Federal Services Inc. have been selected to provide construction services to support the $107 million stabilization and closure of the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford site in western Washington.

BOISE, ID-Two contractors have been chosen by CH2M Hill Hanford Group to provide construction services to support the stabilization and closure of the largest high-level radioactive waste project in the United States.

The two contracting teams are Washington Group International Inc. and Fluor Federal Services Inc.

The two teams were selected to share approximately $107 million in construction tasks over the next five years for CH2M Hill Hanford Group, which holds the prime contract to manage 54 million gallons of nuclear waste in 177 tanks on the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford site in western Washington.
