The REIT owns approximately 4.7 million sf of properties in Westchester County and more than 672,000 sf of space in Fairfield County.

Mack-Cali, which is headquartered in Cranford, N.J., and has regional offices here, notes that the largest transaction in the third quarter was the five-year lease renewal by CSC Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Cablevision Systems, for 28,755 sf of space at 6 Executive Plaza in Yonkers. The 80,000 sf building is part of Mack-Cali's 679,000 sf South Westchester Executive Park, which is currently 100% leased.

A deal highlighted by Mack-Cali was the Cooperative Educational Services' lease renewal of 20,131 sf at 2 Westchester Plaza in Elmsford. The 2 Westchester Plaza property is a 25,000 sf office/flex building that is also 100% leased.

Company officials add that another of the larger deals for the third quarter was the lease renewal by Winklevoss Consultants, Inc., a provider of financial engineering solutions, of 14,160 sf for five years at 500 West Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, CT. The 500 West Putnam Ave., building totals 121,250 sf of office space and is 96% leased.

Mitchell E. Hersh, chief executive officer of Mack-Cali, comments on the firm's third quarter leasing performance by saying, "We're pleased to continue to accommodate the space needs of these leading businesses. And in today's challenging economy, Mack-Cali's financial strength and stability are increasingly important factors in companies' decisions in choosing their office space."
