A 10,000-sf area is reserved for resistance training equipment, and there is also a sports medicine clinic on site. GGI also finds room for kids in the facility by including a jungle gym and a video game playroom.Company President and CEO Gene LaMott says, "The Arlington, Virginia community is a high-spirited one and we look forward to serving our neighbors and the employees at the [nearby] Pentagon."
GGI signed the lease for the property in March under undisclosed terms. The Arlington location, which was originally scheduled to open in August, marks the company's twentieth corporate-owned facility. Headquartered in the Southern California beach community of Venice, GGI is documented as the largest gym chain in the world.
