Already, Spring Ridge boasts over 1,800 residential dwellings, a 38-acre certified wildlife sanctuary, and retail space that includes a 50,000-sf Weis grocery store. Also, land has been designated for the building of a community fire station in the future. Unlike other planned communities that fell prey to the real estate market crash a decade ago, Buchanan has been able to keep Spring Ridge on the map. "Spring Ridge combines impressive amenities with a variety of quality-built housing choices," explains Buchanan's Russ Gestl. "Many people have moved here from both Frederick County and Montgomery County, looking for the benefits of a well planned community."
