Lindquist, previously Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Corporate Alliances at Trammell Crow Company, will report directly to Plum Creek President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Holley.

Lindquist, 41, will have overall responsibility for Plum Creek's real estate portfolio and for developing opportunities in the company's holdings throughout the United States. During his sixteen-year career at Trammell Crow Company he has been responsible for all phases of real estate development including partnership structuring and pre-development activity. Since 1996 he has held various senior leadership roles in the Corporate Real Estate Services and Outsourcing businesses.

"The creation of this new position and its high level of seniority underscore our commitment to accelerating the growth of diverse revenue and profit streams from Plum Creek's broad and sizable resource base," Holley says. "Tom will be responsible for identifying, positioning and capturing the full value of select properties in our land portfolio, and will lead the development and growth of an increasingly important segment of our business, natural resources. His strategic approach to real estate management and extensive structuring experience will be invaluable as Plum Creek grows its real estate and other non-timber businesses."

Plum Creek, a real estate investment trust, is one of the largest land owners in the nation, with 7.8 million acres of timberlands in every major timber region of the United States and nine wood product mills in the Northwest.
