The planned South Crest venture is expected to attract $150 million in investment and one million sf of commercial and industrial space, according to published reports.

Construction on South Crest is set to begin in the spring and could be ready for occupancy by the end of 2002. The Keith Corp. of Charlotte will market South Crest. Mansour Edlin Consulting is handling civil engineering and land planning for the site.

Parkdale has completed construction of a $4 million, 38,000-square-foot headquarters in Gastonia, part of the 21-acre South New Hope Road business park.

Privately held Parkdale supplies cotton and cotton-blend yarn to VF Corp., L.L. Bean Inc., Pillowtex Corp. and Lands' End Inc.
