The plant received a $5 million state startup grant.Ken Swanson, president of the Michigan Corn Processors LLC, says in a prepared statement theplant site had been changed from the original site in Vassar due to lack ofcommunity support in that area
The plant is expected to be operational nextfall.The plant will utilize 15 million bushels of corn annually.
