MESA, AZ-A California buyer has shelled out $8 million for a 200-lot “snowbird” community that was 97% occupied at sale time. Silver Spur Village, developed in 1983, is located at 9333 E. University in Mesa.

The buyer, Cal-Am Properties of Encino, was courting the seller, Larry Klaas of Silver Spur Holdings LLC in Mesa for 1 1/2 years, Jon Harrison, a senior sales associate for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. in Tucson, tells GlobeSt.com. Harrison said Klaas added 15 spaces to the community last year, taking the acreage to full build-out.
