Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut reports that the renovations at NordenPark property will include a major upgrade in the complex's telecommunications capabilities that should prove attractive. Trip Hoffman, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield, along with Sal Buono SIOR, senior director with the firm, are serving as exclusive leasing agents for the property. The NordenPark building totals 636,000 sf of space. Currently, there is approximately 160,000 sf of space available for lease. Norden Systems currently occupies nearly 480,000 sf of space at NordenPark.
Hoffman says, "This project takes the smart building concept to a whole new level, making it the most advanced new office project in the area. The building is serviced by SNET fiber optics and several fiber providers are available to the site."
He continues, "The building is ideally suited for data centers, disaster recovery services or any office user... It has the capability to carry several times the electrical load of a typical office building."
The property is located on 81 acres and was sold by MetLife to a group of local developers: Summit Development, Greenfield Partners and Spinnaker Companies in November 2000. In addition to the existing building, there is a potential for build to suit on the NordePark campus, Cushman officials say.
Kim Morque, director of development at Spinnaker Companies, notes that renovations to the entire facility, including a new cafe and fitness center, are scheduled to be completed in January 2002.
