ATLANTA-Beazer Homes released preliminary new home orders for October and November that were up almost 40% from the year-ago period in most regions of the country.

Last week, Beazer Homes said it expected to report an increase in orders from last November. New home orders in the southeast for October and November were up 43.2 % over 2000. For November alone, new home orders increased 42.2 % from the year-ago period, according to a written statement.

Beazer’s central region had the biggest one-year jump from November to November, rising 91%. Over the two months ending Nov. 30, new home orders increased 52.5% in the region.
