Credit Union Closes on Southeast Branch Site

SAN ANTONIO-The city's largest credit union has secured a southeast corridor location that is being land banked at the juncture of Rigsby Avenue and Loop 410. Security Service Federal Credit Union plans to build on the site, but not for a few years.

SAN ANTONIO-The city’s biggest credit union has reserved a spot in southeast San Antonio with the purchase of a pad site at Rigsby Avenue and Loop 410. Security Service Federal Credit Union, which has about 200,000 customers in the San Antonio area, recently closed on the property.

The financial institution, however, won’t build on the site for a couple of years, a company insider tells GlobeSt.com. “It’s not imminent,” he says, “but it’s part of our continuing program to put facilities to serve our members where they live, where things grow.”
