The scheme will include bars, a night club, restaurant, casino and an 86-bedroom hotel. It will be named Whitakers Quarter after the Whitakers brewery which stood on the site from 1758 until 1928. The scheme is located in the West End of the city which has lately become the focal point of the leisure market.
Alex Munro of joint letting agent Knight Frank said: 'This is another major development for the city which, following on from the Leisure Exchange and Glydegate Square, highlights the strength of the city in the regional economy. For years Bradford has lacked quality offers to compete with other nearby centres and these three major developments will provide the type of modern high quality facility that is demanded by an increasingly sophisticated audience.'
Work is scheduled to start on site early in the Spring of 2002.
