Howard E. Greenberg, president of Howard Properties, Ltd., reports that Kaufman, Borgeest & Ryan, a New York City based-law firm, has signed a lease for 14,000 sf of space at 200 Summit Lake Dr. here. The law firm recently moved into the building, which totals approximately 230,000 sf and is part of Reckson Associates Realty Corp.'s 750,000-sf Summit Office Park.
Greenberg notes that Kaufman, Borgeest & Ryan, a law firm that specializes in insurance defense law, had previously operated a 2,000-sf office at 525 North Broadway in White Plains. The company first established its Westchester office in 1999. He adds that the law firm plans to house more than 20 attorneys at its new Westchester location. Howard Properties represented the tenant in the Summit Lake Drive deal as well as in the 1999 transaction in White Plains.
In another recent deal brokered by Howard Properties, the law firm Oxman, Tulis, Kirkpatrick, Whyatt & Geiger signed a long-term deal for 11,000 sf of space at 120 Bloomingdale Rd. in White Plains. The firm was formed as a result of the April merger of several Westchester law practices. Oxman, Tulis, Kirkpatrick, Whyatt & Geiger, practices in the areas of litigation, bankruptcy, certiorari, land use and environmental law. The law firm has already taken space at the 120 Bloomingdale Rd. building, a 156,000-sf property that is owned by the RPW Group.
