During the past nine months, Equus Realty Advisors has leased about 80,000 of the 107,000-sf project at 9173, 9174 and 9177 SkyPark Court to Arrow Electronics, Provasis Therapeutics and the state of California.
Bycor acted as general contractor for all aspects of the redevelopment, which included raising ceiling and roof heights, new air conditioning, elevators, landscaping and other major upgrades. Bycor also built 43,500 sf of new office space for two state agencies — the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Water Quality Control Board. Bycor built about 26,000 sf of office for Arrow Electronics 12,750 sf of office and laboratory space for Provasis Therapeutics.
"The property has been transformed from a dated industrial research and development complex to a high-quality office/corporate headquarters business park," said David Bourne, chairman of La Jolla-based Equus Realty Advisors.
The project, which was designed by Don Pitman Design Inc. and engineered by Firouzi Engineers, was completed on schedule in late September. The project manager for Bycor was Glenn Evans, and Mike Anderson served as superintendent.
