102,000-SF Kohl's Store to Open in Walpole Mall

WALPOLE, MA-The site of the former Bradlees department store here will soon house one of 12 Kohl’s Department Stores moving into the Boston area. In an agreement with the Stop & Shop Corporation, parent of the now defunct Bradlees, Kohl’s will take over the leases of 15 stores in the Northeast, 12 of which are in the Boston area. The 102,000-sf store here will anchor the newly remodeled Walpole Mall.

The International Property Corporation of Toronto, Canada owns the mall. Property manager Karen MacKinnon tells Globest. Kohl’s has requested to occupy the space starting in April of 2002. Kohl’s has more than 300 stores in 26 states and plans to add at least 30 stores in the Northeast.
