Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg, AOL Time Warner, Westin Hotel, CIBC World Markets and the new York State Unified Court System have hired Otis to provide internal transportation systems for their new buildings. Details of the contracts include:
Goldman Sachs--The $27-million deal covers two buildings totaling 1 million sf and includes 54 elevators and four escalators. Otis has also inked a 20-year maintenance contract with the investment bank.
Bloomberg--The former Alexander's department store site's 54-story tower will have 29 elevators. Otis' contract with Vornado Realty Trust is valued at $13.95 million.
AOL Time Warner--The media empire's Columbus Circle headquarters will include 19 elevators at a cost of $8.4 million.
The Kings County Family Court and new York State Supreme Court--The state's largest courthouse will have 29 elevators and four escalators. Otis' contract with Forest City Ratner is for $20.5 million.
Westin Hotel--Otis will install 14 elevators in the 850-room hotel at Eighth Avenue and 43rd Street. The contract is for $9.43 million
CIBC World Markets--The global investment banker's 1 million-sf tower at 300 Madison Ave. will include 28 elevators and seven escalators at a cost of $15.15 million.
Otis is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. It is headquartered in Farmington, CT and maintains more than 1.2 million elevators and escalators worldwide.
