Private investors have paid $1.2 million for the facility, which was formerly occupied by Washington Mutual. They plan to consolidate their businesses within the building, which stands at 2999 Westminster Ave.

Joseph Martelli of Joseph Martelli Investments represented the buyers, Rocky and Deborah Gentner. The seller, Mr. Beau JJ's, was represented by Kathy Fuller of Voit Commercial Brokerage's Irvine office.

The retail sector of the Orange County commercial real estate market continues to hold steady, as evidenced by these smaller bread and butter deals. Yesterday, GlobeSt.com reported a $1.4-million retail acquisition in Huntington Beach. The 15,431-sf building, which stands at 17122 Beach Blvd., was purchased by New Life Rehabilitation, a physical therapy company. The seller was Union Bank of California, which formerly occupied the facility.
