USA Wireless Makes $3.7-Mil Call for Van Nuys

VAN NUYS, CA-A company that makes and distributes accessories for the cell-phone industry has signed a $3.7-million lease for space in the Lewis Business Center here and will relocate about 70 workers from its longtime home in neighboring Pacoima.

Terms of the five-year lease will provide USA Wireless Technologies Inc. with 98,840 sf of mostly industrial space inside the center, which stands in the 8000 block of Woodley Avenue. The relocation will allow the company to triple its capacity, according to David Khalepari, the firm’s CFO.

USA Wireless manufactures and distributes batteries, carrying cases, headsets and other accessories for cell-phone users. Khalepari says the company has simply outgrown its 28,800-sf building at 10310 Norris Ave. in Pacoima.
