"In light of today's turbulent economy, we believe that this partnership is smart business for both parties," PHS Executive Vice President Don Minker explains. "Under the arrangement, PHS will refer clients seeking housing for more than 30 days to CAS. In return, the apartment company will refer guests in need of lodging for less than a month to PHS. PHS owns and/or operates five hotels in the Washington, DC area. Short-term, furnished apartment units are CAS' specialty, and the company is considered a leader in the extended-stay housing segment of the real estate market. "We take pride in meeting the needs of today's travelers," Minker says. "And we are confident that this alliance with CAS will help us serve the customer even better."
