Potomac Hospitality and Corporate Apartment Services Join Forces

WASHINGTON, DC-Potomac Hospitality Services and Corporate Apartment Specialists Inc. form a partnership to better accommodate the District's large segment of visitors desiring extended-stay accommodations. Under the two-year alliance, the companies will refer clients to each other when, based on the length of the guest's visit, the other company's facilities provide a more suitable accommodation.

WASHINGTON, DC-Hotel and apartment operator Potomac Hospitality Services and interim-housing provider Corporate Apartment Specialists Inc. have joined forces to accommodate DC’s transient population of extended-stay visitors. The companies have formed a two-year alliance to accommodate the many tourists and business travelers who require extended-stay accommodations in the District.

“In light of today’s turbulent economy, we believe that this partnership is smart business for both parties,” PHS Executive Vice President Don Minker explains. “Under the arrangement, PHS will refer clients seeking housing for more than 30 days to CAS. In return, the apartment company will refer guests in need of lodging for less than a month to PHS. PHS owns and/or operates five hotels in the Washington, DC area. Short-term, furnished apartment units are CAS’ specialty, and the company is considered a leader in the extended-stay housing segment of the real estate market. “We take pride in meeting the needs of today’s travelers,” Minker says. “And we are confident that this alliance with CAS will help us serve the customer even better.”
