Office Liquidators Leases In Gart Center

LAKEWOOD, CO-The used furniture marketer becomes the first tenant in the former Levitz Furniture warehouse building converted by Gart Properties into the 6th Avenue Commerce Center building.

LAKEWOOD, CO-Office Liquidators, the largest re-seller of used furniture in the metro area, is moving from its long-time home on southeast Denver into a building owned by Gart Properties. Office Liquidators, which is leasing 33,000 sf, is the first tenant in Gart’s 6th Avenue Commerce Center building at West Sixth Avenue and Simms St. in this suburb west of Denver.

Gart bought the former Levitz Furniture warehouse building, which is renamed as the 6th Avenue Commerce Center, out of bankruptcy court in 1999. Alex Ringsby and Paul Kahn of Cushman & Wakefield are listing the property.

Gart Properties paid $7 million for this building and another Levitz building in Colorado Springs in 1999. It sold the Colorado Springs building and almost sold the Lakewood property, twice.
