The initiative, called the 'Heart of Slough' will transform a 29-acre site in the centre of Slough, creating a mix of houses, leisure, office and educational space. .

Julian Barwick, Joint Managing Director of Development Securities said: 'We will provide Slough with a new heart encompassing community, residential, infrastructure and commercial/leisure components of the highest quality. We are looking forward to working with the council team to further develop those ideas.' .

Further public consultation will start once the additional work is completed and the final contract is awarded. The final design is likely to be the subject of an international architectural design competition.
