Lee County Newcomer Reports Record Earnings

BONITA SPRINGS, FL-Source Interlink Co., the magazine distributor which plans to move its corporate headquarters from St. Louis to Bonita Springs next year, recently announced record results for the third quarter. Profit totaled $2.6 million or 14 cents per share. Revenue tripled to $82.1 million from $26.3 million.

For the nine months ending Oct. 31, Source reported revenue of $157.7 million in comparison to $73.4 million in the corresponding period a year ago. Net income was $6.3 million or 35 cents per share. In 2000, net income totaled $5.4 million or 29 cents per share.

Bonita Springs is located approximately 80 miles northwest of Miami, between Fort Myers and Naples. Source Interlink is constructing a new four-story, 98,000-sf corporate office building in the Riverview Corporate Center on the west side of US Highway 41 just north of the Imperial River. The company will occupy about 50,000 sf on the top two floors.
