The San Antonio-based restaurant Souper Salad chain operates more than 50 Texas locations, including 11 in Houston, one in Humble and one in Sugar Land. In total, the company has in excess of 128 stores in 16 states.

In an unrelated retail transaction, Sears Roebuck & Co. has signed for 2,800 sf at Fairbanks Plaza Shopping Center in northwest Houston. Dean Lane and Charlie Christ, both of Boyd Page, represented Sears.

According to a report published by Revac Inc. and CDI-Source Net, LLC, there are four shopping centers under construction in West Houston, representing 725,000 sf that will come on line soon.
