NEW YORK CITY-Silverstein Properties Inc. affiliate World Trade Center Properties LLC has filed suit against Travelers Indemnity Co. to recover losses incurred from the World Trade Center Bombings. Silverstein has also asked the judge hearing a separate lawsuit stemming from the attacks for permission to add most of the remaining insurers of the World Trade Center to the developer’s counterclaim.

“It is unfortunate that we have been forced to sue to enforce our rights,” World Trade Center developer and leaseholder Larry Silverstein says. “We are confident of our legal position that crashes of two separate planes into two separate towers at two separate times entitle us to claim that there was more than one occurrence within the meaning of our insurance contracts.”
