Mirage Cosmetics Pays $2.2 Million for College Park Building

BELTSVILLE, MD-With business looking up for 11-year old Mirage Cosmetics, Inc.–manufacturers of the increasingly popular Sinful Colors nail enamel line–the company has purchased the industrial building at 10721 Tucker St. from Duron Paints & Wallcoverings in a $2.2 million transaction. The 50,870-sf structure will replace neighboring 10211 Bacon Dr. as the company’s new headquarters.

Located off Route 1 at the center of Beltsville’s Industrial Park, the building was constructed in 1968 and sits on 89,358 sf of land in the College Park area. Former owner Duron is making a $1 million profit on the sale of the structure. The paint company acquired the property nearly seven years ago from Campbell Co. Inc. for $1.3 million in May of 1995. Bethesda, MD’s Commercial Brokers LLC and the Ross Property Group closed the deal on behalf of the cosmetics firm.
