The deal is a renegotiation and extension of Oxford Health Plan, Inc.'s existing lease. Oxford Health Plans, Inc. was represented by Jay Hruska, executive director at Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, Inc. and Kevin Foley, a director in the same office. The building owner, Worth Construction, was self-represented.
Hruska says that Oxford had studied the Shelton-Trumbull area before deciding on extending its lease at the property. Oxford had several years left on an existing lease at the Main St., property.
"7120 Main St. is a single-story facility that Oxford Health Plans modified to suit its needs," Hruska notes. "The company will be using the building for office and warehouse space, as well as production operations." The property is almost evenly split between office and warehouse use, he adds.
Oxford Health Plans has a major presence in the Westchester-Fairfield marketplace. The company is headquartered in Trumbull at 48 Monroe Turnpike where it occupies approximately 250,000 sf of space. In addition, the firm's Westchester offices are housed at the Westchester One office building at 44 South Broadway in White Plains where it occupies approximately 100,000 sf of space. The company also maintains significant operations in the state of New Hampshire, Hruska relates.
Founded in 1984, Oxford Health Plans, Inc. provides health plans to employers and individuals in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, through a direct sales force, and independent insurance agents and brokers.
