Calls to the company were not returned by press time, and it is still unclear which individual stores would be affected. The company has 606 stores nationwide, promoted under the Repp Big & Tall and Casual Male Big & Tall names. They have already received permission to close 80 stores since filing for bankruptcy. If this most recent request is approved, the closings would begin in the third week of January. Reportedly, the company needs to sell its winter clothing before the end of the season.

The company, which is headquartered here, filed for bankruptcy this past May listing $299.3 million in assets and $244.1 million in debts. The company's shares traded as high as $7.50 over the past year and plummeted down to $.50.
