Davis Memorial Goodwill Industries of Washington, DC operated the Langley store. Speaking to the local press, Davis Memorial spokeswoman Donna Anderson explains, "we couldn't renegotiate an affordable lease that would have made it profitable for us to stay." She adds, "it would have been substantially more expensive [than the previous lease]."

The closing leaves 11 Goodwill stores in the Washington Metro region. As of the end of December, a new tenant had not been found, but Langley Center officials say other companies have expressed interest in the space. The square-footage of the store and going rate are not readily available.
