The flagship site—whose name combines Australian folk hero Ned Kelly and the 1998 movie "Waking Ned Devine"--opened in January 2000 in the Village Center at Dulles. "As a unique pub concept with both Australian and Irish influences, it has garnered quite a following, resulting in the need to expand in this market," JBGR Principal Grant Ehat explains in a press release. "We are confident that, by leveraging our knowledge of the marketplace and long-standing relationships with other shopping center owners and managers, we'll be able to identify additional locations that will be equally lucrative.
