The $12.8 million Cruse Marketplace will sit on 18 acres at the intersection of GA 20 and Samples Road.. Construction starts next week. The center is two-thirds leased, with five tenants signed, including a Publix supermarket, Japanese restaurant, dry cleaner, and nail salon and a tanning salon. The average asking rent is $21 per sf, according to North American's marketing director Jennifer Weyand.

"This is the first retail project the homeowner's federation has supported in Forsyth County," Prescott Eaton, president, Federation of Forsyth County Homeowners, says in a prepared statement. "They took a proactive interest in developing a retail center that would serve the interests of the homeowners and preserve our community."

North American has developed 11 million sf of retail in 12 states.
