Beazer's central region was the fastest growing with orders rising 78% from December 2000 to December 2001. Beazer's West region had the slowest growth. New home orders there rose 13.6% in the 12-month period ending in December 2001, and 38.5% from the same quarter in 2000 to the December-ending quarter in 2001.
New orders for the West region include 20 and 60 units for the one and three-month periods ended December 31, 2001 from Sanford Homes of Colorado. Beazer acquired Sanford Homes in August.
