Preliminary plans call for 165 residential units, 27,000-sf of ground-floor commercial space and two-levels of below-grade parking. The property is zoned Neighborhood Commercial 3 with a 65' height limit.
Behar tells GlobeSt.com he demolished existing structures on the 36,700-sf site about one year ago. He expects permitting to take four or five months and construction about 15 months.
The project is currently headed for Design Review. The next design review meeting is slated for Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 221 of the Municipal Building at 600 4th Ave. For more information contact Scott Kemp, DCLU Land Use Planner at 206-233-3866.
