"This is an exciting development for us because not only are we reaching new customers in the state of Hawaii, we are further accommodating our traveling guests," says Steve Schickler, president of Seattle Coffee Co., parent company of Seattle's Best Coffee.

The agreement is to develop 14 cafes in Hawaii and gives exclusive development rights for Seattle's Best Coffee cafes in the Hawaiian islands to GMS. Following the opening of the Pearlridge Mall location, the remaining 10 cafes will open throughout the islands during thenext five years in the form of cafes, kiosks and carts in a variety of locations including hotels, resorts, malls and neighborhood shopping centers.

Seattle's Best Coffee operates 142 cafes and distributes coffee products to major grocery store chains, restaurants, foodservice, airlines and hotels.

AFC Enterprises, Inc. is the franchisor and operator of more than 3,750 restaurants, bakeries and cafes in the United States, Puerto Rico and 30 other countries under the brand names Church's Chicken, Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits, Cinnabon, Seattle's Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia Coffee.
