Bank of Williamsburg Expands

NEWPORT NEWS, VA-The Bank of Williamsburg is expanding with the impending opening of an approximately 1,700-sf loan production office in the Oyster Point Business Park, one of the Peninsula area’s premier business parks. The complex, which is near Interstate 264 and Norfolk International Airport, is home to several Class A office buildings. This new location will be the bank’s second office; its first being located 5125 John Tyler Parkway in the city of Williamsburg.

The bank is part of Bowling Green, VA-based Union Bancshares Corporation’s conclave of community banks. Speaking to GlobeSt.Com, Union Bancshares Corporation CFO D. Anthony Peay says, “we’re excited about the opportunity to expand into that market.” Other banks with a lending office in the complex include Virginia Beach’s Resource Bank. Peay says the company does not release the financial details of its leasing activities.
