The Chicago-based aerospace company has occupied space at the 533,000-sf Kilroy Airport Center center since 1997, according to the Kilroy Realty Corp., a southern California real estate investment trust. The lease is set to expire Dec. 31.
Boeing, which has been hard hit by the aftermath of 9/11 and the recession, is expected to abandon at least one of its remaining lease commitments in the Puget Sound Area. The company currently leases more than 500,000 sf of space in the southern portion of the Greater Seattle area.
In other news, Boeing has announced several key staff changes. Seddik Belyamani will retire as executive vice president of sales. Toby Bright, vice president of business strategy and marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will succeed Belyamani. Nicole Piasecki, formerly vice president of sales, leasing companies, will succeed Bright.
