Bookie William Hill Bets On Sheffield Offices

LONDON-Bookmaker William Hill has taken part of Development Securities' 28,800-sf Milton House building in the centre of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

LONDON-Development Securities has let 28,800 sf of office space at Milton House, its prime investment property in Sheffield city centre, to bookmaker William Hill Credit. The turf accountant is taking three floors of the building on a 15-year lease at a rent of £12.75 ($18.50) per sf as an additional location for a telephone betting call centre to supplement its existing operation in Leeds.

In October 2000, the comprehensive refurbishment of Milton House was completed, providing 80,000 sf of high quality space over nine floors. In addition to William Hill, the building is occupied on 15-year leases by rail operator Midland Mainline and serviced office provider Executive Communication Centres, leaving just one floor remaining to be let.
