COLORADO CITY, CO-What would be a large deal for Denver is a gigantic deal for this small city in southern Colorado south of Pueblo. Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., parent of King Soopers and City Market in Colorado, is leasing a 248,000-sf distribution center from Columbia House.

”This is certainly one of the largest lease deals in southern Colorado in many, many years,” Alex Ringsby, the Cushman & Wakefield broker who handled the deal with fellow C&W broker Paul Kahn tells GlobeSt.com.

The center was built in 1968 with only 67,000 sf. Columbia house bought it in 1993 and expanded it to its present size, Ringsby says.
