The three current projects include the development of a new constituent service center for the City of Los Angeles, a build-to-suit of a new corporate campus for a publicly held firm, and the renovation of a large industrial facility.
Voit is nearing completion on the first phase of a new corporate campus build-to-suit for Semtech Corporation. The 85,000-sf headquarters, which will be complete in the first quarter of 2002, is part of the firm's new 220,000-sf corporate campus in Camarillo, Calif. Two additional buildings will be developed during subsequent phases, accounting for approximately 150,000 additional sf, Regan notes.
Upon completion of construction, Semtech--a manufacturer of made-to-order analog semiconductor chips for the telecommunications, computer, automotive and aerospace and defense industries --will relocate its existing Newbury Park, Calif. headquarters to the state-of-the-art corporate campus.
The second project is the start of construction on the Marvin Braude San Fernando Valley Constituent Service Center, a public-private partnership between Voit and The City of Los Angeles.
The 142,000-sf two- and four-story Mediterranean-style building will house field representatives of several City departments, including the Mayor, City Councilperson, City Attorney, Building and Safety and its One Stop Permit Center, Bureau of Engineering and Department of Transportation. The facility will also contain 9,500 sf of ground-floor retail stores and nearly 300 parking spaces. The new constituent service center is located in Van Nuys and will serve the greater San Fernando Valley.
Voit has completed the relocation of utilities for the project and the initial excavation of the two-level subterranean parking garage and is proceeding with the foundation for the new civic center.
On a third project, Voit has completed the renovation of a 210,000-sf industrial building located in the City of San Fernando. The building has been updated with new landscaping, paint and the addition of warehouse skylights and is currently being marketed for lease or sale.
