The new parking structure, designed by Taylor & Associates Architects of Newport Beach, will serve an acute care expansion and the new Hoag Women¹s Pavilion. Incorporating a 1.5 importance factor for Seismic Zone IV requirements, the facility utilizes a cast-in-place, modified, Cunningham long-span beam structural system. In addition, the structure highlights anarchitectural colored concrete precast facade of exposed, sandblasted aggregate. McCarthy¹s labor force performed all concrete work.

McCarthy has delivered more than 300 such facilities totaling nearly $1 billion nationwide. Notable examples of McCarthy parking structure projects in Southern California include the 10,242-car Mickey and Friends Parking Structure facility for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim; the 3,000-car parking garage for Hollywood and Highland (McCarthy served as the builder for the entire retail/entertainment venue); and a 1,800-car design/build structure for the University of California, Irvine.
