The food service company has signed a 20-year lease and will take occupation in March 2002. Terms of the deal have been kept under wraps, but letting agent Knight Frank had been quoting a rent in the region of £30 ($43 per sf). Compass will join existing occupiers Xerox, British Alcan, Airspan and Regus on the park, whicjh is located just off the main A40 trunk road. Three office/warehouse buildings totalling 79,000 sf are still available at the park.
MEPC director Mark Younger said: 'Given the current economic climate, attracting a company of the quality of Compass to Uxbridge Business Park is a real endorsement of the quality of the MEPC product.'
