"They don't really have a set number of new restaurants that they plan to open in the area," Sax Realty Real Estate Broker Dennis Bodley tells GlobeSt.com. "They're just looking for sites that they like; sites that complement they're existing locations." There are about 90 Logan's Roadhouse locations throughout the Southwest and southern Midwest regions.

The 1940s-style roadhouse chain, which is affiliated with the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants, is seeking only freestanding sites of approximately 8,000 sf. "Primarily, they're looking to ground leases," Bodley adds. "They usually ground lease or buy, and then build their own building." Bodley declined to comment on the amount of money Logan's is willing to spend for new buildings, but he did say that it takes time to find the right spots for the right price. "Washington, DC is a tough market because it's a good restaurant and retail market, so there's always a lot of competition for good sites."
