SEATTLE-QFC has agreed to anchor Paul Allen’s South Lake Union development. The supermarket will take up 48,000-sf of space in the heart of a mixed-use retail, office and residential project.

Scheduled to open in 2004, the QFC project is part of a joint development venture between Milliken Development Corp. and Allen’s Vulcan Inc.

The 975,000 square foot 2200 Westlake project will feature condominiums as well as retail and office space. Bounded by Westlake Avenue, Denny Way, Terry Avenue, Lenora Street and 9th Avenue, the development also will contain a 16,000 square foot landscaped plaza. The residential portion of the project consists of 260 condominium units, the majority of which will be contained in two 11-story residential towers.
