Rolls Wood will use the facility, located at 14700 Doolittle Dr., as a sales and service facility for aircraft engines. The firm, which is owned by Rolls Royce and the Wood Group, provides repair and overhaul service for engines.

Dan Bergen and Bob Ferraro, of Colliers International, represented the property owner, Israel Family Trust. Robert Hamilton of Hamilton, Thatcher Associates represented Rolls Wood.

Bergen says that San Leandro has made a compelling case for locating new businesses to the city. "This lease satisfies a critical expansion requirement within the aircraft industry near Oakland International Airport," says Bergen. "After many years of silence, the area is beginning to experience an increase in industrial engineering and mechanical type jobs. The area's industry diversification allows the owners of San Leandro real estate a period of repose in this turbulent market."
