The seller of the property at 5330 Eastgate Mall was BCL, Inc., a San Diego-based commercial real estate company focused on the acquisition, finance, development, management and leasing of office and industrial/R&D properties in Southern California. The principals of BCL are Casey Brown, Mike Colarusso and Paul LeBeau.
Dean Acosta and Kevin Craven of Colliers International represented the seller. Marc Lipschitz of Voit Commercial represented the buyer.
Eastgate Media Group, a visual arts production company, will occupy the property in February. The building was constructed in 1984.
In July 2001, BCL, Inc. purchased the Eastgate Mall property from Aegon USA Realty Advisors for $2.65 million. Dean Acosta of Colliers International also represented both the buyer and seller in the investment transaction.
