Branded 'XL', the 62,322-sf unit fronts Standing Way and the A5130, and is part of a two-unit scheme totalling more than 175,000 sf of space.
MacFarlane Group is joining Culina Logistics, the warehousing and distribution arm of the German yoghurt giant, Muller, which took the 113,000-sf XXL unit in March 2001. Rents for both deals were undisclosed.
King Sturge and Weatherall Green Smith are the letting agents on the scheme, Alder King acted for MacFarlane Group UK.
At the same time, Laing Property also sublet Laing Homes former 103,700-sf distribution facility at Garamonde Drive, Milton Keynes, to Maersk Logistics to service a new contract with Mitsubishi. Rent was undisclosed.
Lambert Smith Hampton acted on behalf of Laing Property, which incorporated the new sub lease into the head lease, while Newton Perkins represented Maersk Logistics.
Laing Property director Nigel Turner said: 'With three lettings totalling more than 275,000 sf in the last 12 months our confidence in Milton Keynes has been well verified. Demand in Milton Keynes is strong and the location of our scheme, which provides easy access to the M1, has generated a lot of interest in the area. We now need more stock in the area to continue the success.'
