HSBC has acquired the offices in order to consolidate its customer contact centre in Leicester. Some 625 workstations will be accommodated in the building. It is expected the first staff will begin to move into the building during May with an official opening planned for October.

Geoff Gibson, director of Lambert Smith Hampton, which represented Barclays Bank, commented: 'This deal illustrates continuing healthy demand for prime accommodation in the city. We were particularly pleased at achieving a simultaneous disposal with our client's vacation of the premises.'
