BWG is a woman-owned small business. This is the first time the local GSA has awarded an architecture and engineering contract to a woman-owned small business. It also is the largest architecture and engineering woman-owned small business contract award given by GSA's Rocky Mountain Region.
''It is extremely satisfying to know that our goal of broadly including all vendors regardless of gender or ethnicity is being met, '' says Larry Trujillo, regional administrator for GSA's Rocky Mountain Region.
''This award is an excellent example that when given an opportunity small businesses can provide outstanding services at fair market prices, which in turn create local jobs and helps keep the local economy strong,'' adds Jose Martinez, SBA procurement center representative.
BWG is an architecture and interior design firm specializing in civic and educational projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region. It completes planning and or design projects valued on average at $50 million per year.
