Several additional properties have been targeted for acquisition and the company also is developing shopping centers in Lakeville, ND Andover, ND and Grand Forks, ND. The venture specializes in projects anchored by grocery stores.

Before joining the Bloomington-based commercial real estate firm, Ulstad spent six years with Oppidan, Inc., and was responsible for developing grocery-anchored shopping centers and single-user retail facilities in the Twin Cities market.
Ulstad earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He also has been admitted to the Counselors of Real Estate.
United Properties has 25 professionals in its retail business, and has more than 6 million sf of retail properties listed or under management.
