Vulcan Names New VP for Construction

SEATTLE-John Thomas has taken on a new post at Vulcan Inc. His title will be vice president of art design and construction. He will oversee the work on a variety of projects, including the Washington State Football/Soccer Stadium and 505 Union Station.

SEATTLE-Vulcan Inc. has brought a new manager into its executive fold. John Thomas has been hired as the company’s new vice president of art, design and construction.

In his role at Vulcan, Thomas will oversee the design and construction of a broad range of Vulcan projects and programs, which include the Washington State Football/Soccer Stadium, among other commercial project developments such as 505 Union Station, the Stadium Arts program and The Hospital (London). Thomas will also direct site selection, budgeting, planning and a variety of cost and quality controls on Vulcan’s projects including the corporate art program and large-scale public artworks installations.
